HARO is a free service intended to help reporters, journalists, and bloggers connect with credible experts they can feature in their stories.

This is how it works:

You go to and subscribe to their email list. You will then receive two emails per day with requests or questions from reporters from all over the country who are looking for people to interview for their stories.

You can see all of the requests and respond to those you feel are a good match for your area of expertise.

The reporters will then sift through all of the responses and pick out the best ones. They will notify you if they decide to include your contribution in their story or if they’d like to interview you further.

They then publish their stories and send you a link or an hard-copy of the article. Presto! Instant credibility and publicity for your business. If you’re lucky they will even include a link back to your website (critical for search engine optimization).
